The Soviets had their own style of architecture in the 1920s. It was called Constructivist and it was a worthy answer to Art Deco.

I love the horse-buggy trotting by this modern monolith.



Constructivism lives on weirdly in the United States. There's a bank branch near my house that's built in the same style.
