Things are revealed as great betrayals, power structures become alarmingly naked, utopias glimmer in distant valleys, automobiles kicking up dust, circling roundabouts
in Moscow Idaho for eternity.
Knowledge of our civilization's complicity
with the Soviets and Nazis,
knowledge of industrialism's ideological totality,
is enough to drive one insane
to distrust, in this present age,
all of reality.
